Hi everyone, just thought I would update you on my return to work and my possible oral warning! I had my "attendance meeting" with my line manager but prior to that had a meeting with our TU rep. I was telling her that I had had a risk assessment done on 28.1.10 at my desk and that a new roller mouse had been ordered and was using that (fantastic things, much easier on the hands and wrists) They also recommended a new chair for back support as I was experiencing back pain which I suspected might be due to RA but had not had that confirmed at that time. Anyway, went off work with a horrible flare in my back on 9.3.10. The TU rep raised the question "have you got your chair yet" to which I replied, no, still no delivery and Ive had to chase it several times. She commented that this may have been a big contributory factor to my flare and has recommended that my line manager ask for an exemption to this period of sickness. Im ever hopeful.
Seeing my rheummy next Tuesday and am hoping that she lets me have an infusion as feeling really sore, stiff etc.
Bit of advice, the rheummy nurse mentioned to me last time I saw her in January that they may start me on sulphazalazine (sp????!!!) what are everyones views/experience of this?
Take care all, enjoy this lovely weather, roll on our bbq summer!!!
